In the morning, in the Torres Strait, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Thursday Island for Masig (Yorke) Island. 

Following, on Masig Island, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey were greeted by Honorary Inspector Ned Mosby and received a Welcome to Country from the Chairman, Prescribed Body Corporate, Mr John Morris, before touring the Island and visiting the Yorke Island Primary Health Clinic.

Then, at Tagai State College, the Governor toured the campus and presented certificates to students and to Honorary Inspector Mosby, before joining students, staff and members of the community at a lunch. 

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey returned to Thursday Island. 

In the evening, at the Gab Titui Cultural Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a community reception, where the Governor addressed guests, and together with Mrs de Jersey, toured the Centre.
