On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received Chancellor-elect, Queensland University of Technology, Dr Xiaoling Liu, and Vice-Chancellor and President, Queensland University of Technology, Professor Margaret Sheil AO.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in honour of Outstanding Queensland Contributors, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: His Grace the Most Reverend Dr Phillip Aspinall and Dr Christa Aspinall; Mr Timothy Fairfax AC and Mrs Gina Fairfax; Mr Chris Freeman AM and Mrs Sue Freeman; Mr Michael Klug AM and Dr Jane Klug; Mrs Janine Schmidt AM and Mr Barry Schmidt RFD; Mr Richard Anderson OAM and Mrs Margaret Anderson; Dr Denver Beanland and Mrs Lee Beanland; Air Commodore Mark Gower AM LVO OAM (Mil) and Mrs Julie Gower; and Mrs Kate Hastings and Mr Bob Hastings APM.
