On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council of Queensland.

Following, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for Regional Government House operations in Longreach.

In the afternoon, at the Longreach Regional Council Chambers, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from Council representatives.

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited Longreach State School where His Excellency addressed a special assembly at which were present students and staff of Longreach State School, Longreach State High School and Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School.

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited the Longreach Hospital, met and received a briefing from staff and then toured operations.

In the evening, at the QANTAS Founders Museum, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted a community reception where His Excellency addressed guests.
