On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted members of Probus Surfers Paradise visiting for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the afternoon, the Governor hosted a luncheon in honour of the Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD, CVO in recognition of Life Membership of the General Sir John Monash Foundation. Guests included: the Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD, CVO; the Honourable Dr Margaret White AO; the Honourable Dr Annabelle Bennett AO SC; Mr Tim Fairfax AC; Mr Philip Bacon AM; Ms Jillian Segal AM; Mr John Allpass; Dr Kate Mitchell; Ms Annemarie Rolls; and Air Commodore Mark Gower OAM.

Following, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey received His Excellency Mr Wahidullah Waissi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Australia, and Mrs Manizha Waissi.

Following, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted a reception in support of Youth Members attending the 2017 YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament where His Excellency addressed guests.
