On Monday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to the Sunshine Coast.

Following, the Governor, with Mrs de Jersey, official opened the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve Rainforest Discovery Centre and addressed guests before returning to Brisbane.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor received Mr Neil Laurie, Clerk of the Parliament, for the presentation of two bills for Assent.
