On Friday, in the afternoon, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Government House for official travel to Townsville.

In the evening, at the Townsville Civic Centre, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended the Australian Festival of Chamber Music opening night reception and concert, Lift Off, and the Governor addressed guests.
