On Monday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Brisbane for Official Travel to Banana Shire Council and Central Highlands Regional Council.

Following, at Mount Morgan Hospital, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo received a briefing on operations, toured the facility and met with staff and patients.

Following, at the Banana Shire Council Chambers, Biloela, Her Excellency and Professor received a briefing from Council representatives.

In the afternoon, at Biloela Fire Station, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted an Afternoon Reception for members of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Hotel Settlers Bistro and Restaurant, Biloela, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a working dinner with the Banana Shire Council Mayor, Councillor Neville Ferrier and Deputy Mayor Councillor Colin Semple.
