On Sunday, in the morning at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD, received the 40th Premier of Queensland, the Honourable Steven Miles MP, who tendered his resignation as Premier and a member of Executive Council to Her Excellency, effective upon the swearing-in of the incoming government.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo, received Mr David Crisafulli MP, Premier-elect, and the Governor invited him to form government.
