On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received National Drought Coordinator, Major General Stephen Day CSC (retd).
Following, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a morning tea to mark the Pardon of Mr Kipper Billy.
Following, at Government House, His Excellency greeted members of the Probus Club of Currimundi Combined Inc visiting for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.
In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency greeted Kidsafe Queensland representatives and patients, families and staff from Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital visiting for afternoon tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.
Following, at Government House, His Excellency received Commanding Officer, NUSHIP Brisbane, Commander Josh Wilson; and Commanding Officer, HMAS Moreton, Commander Mark McConnell.
In the evening, at the Queensland Police Service Academy, Oxley, His Excellency attended the National Police Remembrance Day Candlelight Vigil, and the Governor laid the first wreath.
