In the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to Cherbourg.
Following, in Cherbourg, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council (CASC) Mayor, Cr. Ken Bone, CASC Councillors, and CEO, Mr Warren Collins and received a briefing, then visited the Ration Shed Museum to view exhibitions and displays.
Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited the Barambah Creek Campus, Arethusa College (a project of the Shaftesbury Centre), met staff and students, and toured the facility, before returning to Brisbane.
In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted areception to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Asthma Foundation Queensland and presented the 2015 Charles Mitchell PhD Scholarships.
