On Wednesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC departed Government House for official travel to Ipswich City Council.
Following, at Ipswich, His Excellency visited Ipswich Central State School, and the Governor addressed students and guests and read a book.
Following, at Ipswich Civic Centre, His Excellency hosted a community morning tea for Ipswich Community Leaders and addressed guests.
Following, at Ipswich Civic Centre, His Excellency received a briefing from Council Representatives.
In the afternoon, at Ipswich Civic Centre, His Excellency received a briefing from Rheinmetall Defence Australia and New Zealand and TAE Aerospace Representatives.
Following, at Ipswich, His Excellency toured the Ipswich Art Gallery, Ways of Water exhibition.
Following, at Nicholas Street, Ipswich, His Excellency toured Stage One of the Ipswich CBD upgrade.
Following, His Excellency returned to Government House following official travel to Ipswich City Council.
In the evening, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a dinner in support of Regional Queensland, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: The Honourable Councillor Lawrence Springborg AM and Mrs Linda Springborg; Councillor Matt Burnett and Ms Jessi Burnett; Councillor Greg Christensen and Mrs Denise Christensen; Councillor George Seymour; Councillor Shaun Radnedge and Mrs Kerry Radnedge; Councillor Tony Rayner and Mrs Vicki Rayner; Air Commodore Mark Gower AM LVO OAM (Mil), and Mrs Julie Gower; and Ms Sophie Hilber.
