On Wednesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Government House for official travel to Melbourne, and the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes commenced duty as Acting Governor of Queensland.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes, Acting Governor of Queensland, received Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland, the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP, and Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of two Appropriation Bills for Assent.

In the evening, at Government House, Melbourne, His Excellency attended a dinner hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Linda Dessau AC, Governor of Victoria, and Mr Anthony Howard QC.
