On Thursday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Canberra to return to Brisbane following undertaking Administrator duties.

Following, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, His Excellency the Administrator addressed delegates of, and officially opened, the 2nd Global Advances and Controversies in Skin Cancer Conference.

In the evening, at the Hilton Hotel, Brisbane, His Excellency the Administrator attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors 2015 Gold Medal Award Gala Dinner where His Excellency presented the Gold Medal Award.

Also, in the afternoon, at Parliament House, the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes, Acting Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council, and then met students from Hill View State School undertaking a tour of Parliament.
