On Saturday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC undertook a walking tour of Longreach.  

Following, the Governor visited the Longreach Ambulance Station, met and received a briefing from staff and toured operations.

Following, the Governor visited the RSL Care Pioneers Retirement Community and met with residents and staff.

Following, the Governor visited the Longreach Fire Station, met and received a briefing from staff and toured operations.

In the afternoon, the Governor, with Mrs de Jersey, officially opened the Kinnon & Co ‘Welcome Home’ facility and addressed guests. 

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited the Stockman’s Hall of Fame and then attended the Drover’s Sunset Cruise on the Thomson River.
