Government House Queensland
On Thursday, in the morning, at Albert Street Uniting Church, Brisbane, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the National Police Remembrance Day Church Service and laid the first wreath.
Following, at the Executive Building, Brisbane, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.
In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor received His Excellency Dr Hugo Gobbi, Ambassador of Argentina to Australia.
Following, His Excellency assumed duty as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, and the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes assumed duty as Acting Governor of Queensland.
In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency, with Mrs de Jersey, hosted a reception for Youth Members and supporters of the 2016 YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament, and addressed guests.
