On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received the Ambassador of Philippines in Australia, Her Excellency Mrs Ma. Hellen Barber de la Vega, First Secretary, Embassy of the Philippines, Ms Ma. Corina a Reyes, and Honorary Consul-General of the Philippines in Queensland, Mrs Margaret Jane Grummitt.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency attended, via live streaming services, the funeral of Ms Lorrae Desmond AM MBE.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency greeted members of Power of Women in Our Sixties visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the afternoon, at St John’s Cathedral, Brisbane City, His Excellency, and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the State Funeral for the late Honourable Sir Llew Edwards AC.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency presided, via teleconference, at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency, and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted an afternoon reception in honour of the Official Birthday of Her Majesty The Queen, and the Governor addressed guests.
