On Thursday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM departed Government House for official travel in Brisbane.

Following, at Eliza Street, Clayfield, Her Excellency, accompanied by Cr David McLachlan, Brisbane City Council, toured the surrounding flood impacted area.

Following, at Eastern Suburbs Football Club, Heath Park, East Brisbane, Her Excellency, accompanied by Cr Fiona Cunningham, Brisbane City Council and Club Manager, Mr Glenn Brown, toured the flood affected facility and met with club members.

Following, at Gray Street, Carina, Her Excellency, accompanied by Cr Lisa Atwood, Brisbane City Council toured the surrounding flood impacted area and met with affected residents.

Following, at The Baker’s Corner on Kenrose, Carina, Her Excellency, accompanied by Cr Atwood, met with local business owners affected by the flood.   

Following, at the Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler, Her Excellency visited the evacuation centre and met with volunteers and flood affected residents.   

Following, Her Excellency returned to Government House following official travel in Brisbane.
