On Saturday, in the morning, at Jondaryan State School, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM attended the ceremonial opening of the new gates for the 150th anniversary of the school, unveiled a plaque and addressed guests.

Following, at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Opening of the 138th Sailing Season, and addressed guests.  

In the evening, at Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Australia Japan Society Queensland ‘An Evening in a Japanese Garden’, and the Governor addressed guests.
