On Sunday, in the morning, at Saint John The Evangelist Anglican Church, Cairns City, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM attended a church service, and the Governor provided the First Reading.

 

Following, at Dundee’s Café at the Cairns Aquarium, Cairns City, Her Excellency received Mayor, Cairns Regional Council, Councillor Bob Manning OAM and Mrs Claire Manning for a working morning tea.

 

Following, at Government House, members of the public visited for a Picnic Day.

 

In the afternoon, at St John’s Anglican Cathedral, Brisbane City, Honorary Aide-de-Camp, Commander Nick Cusack RAN represented Her Excellency and attended the 85th Seafarers Day Service of Worship and Wreath Laying Commemoration and laid the first wreath.

 

In the evening, at Cairns Performing Arts Centre, Cairns City, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Queensland Symphony Orchestra Special: 'Barton meets Tchaikovsky', and the Governor addressed guests.
