In the morning, at the Executive Building, George Street, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC attended a ceremony for The Honourable Justice Anthe Philippides to take the Oath of Allegiance and of Office enabling Justice Philippides, in accordance with the Constitution of Queensland 2001, to assume the role of Acting Governor as required.

Following, the Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a reception to recognise the contribution of those who assisted with disaster management activities associated with Tropical Cyclone Marcia.
