On Monday, in the morning, at the Ville Resort-Casino, Townsville, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, with Mrs Kaye de Jersey, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for residents of North Queensland, recipients of Australian honours and awards announced on Australia Day 2018 and on The Queen’s Birthday 2017 Honours List, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey returned to Brisbane.
