On Tuesday, in the morning, at Ormiston College, Ormiston, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, officially opened the Ormiston College Centre for Learning and Innovation, and the Governor addressed students and guests.
In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey received High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Australia, Her Excellency Mrs Vicki Treadell CMG MVO, accompanied by Deputy Consul-General, Sydney and Director of Trade, Australia and New Zealand for the Department for International Trade, Miss Joanne Freeman.
Following, at Government House, His Excellency, received Member of the House of Representatives, National Diet of Japan, Mr Ichiro Aisawa MP and Mrs Toshie Aisawa, accompanied by Consul-General of Japan in Queensland, Mr Kazunari Tanaka.
In the evening, at the United Service Club, Brisbane City, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey, attended the National Council of Women of Queensland Inc Annual Dinner, and the Governor addressed guests.
