On Tuesday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received Ambassador of France in Australia, is Excellency Mr Pierre-Andre Imbert.

Following, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD departed Government House for Official Travel to Townsville City Council.

Following, at Government House, members of Burnie Brae visited for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the afternoon, at Townsville Stadium, Her Excellency hosted an Investiture Ceremony for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the 2024 Australia Day Honours List: Ms Terri Rae Brabon OAM; Mrs Kathleen Marshall OAM; Professor Michael David Reilly OAM; and Warrant Officer Class One Carryn Ann Eustace OAM.

In the evening, at Rydges Southbank Townsville, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Australasian College of Health Service Management North Queensland Members and Friends Dinner, and the Governor addressed guests.
