On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to Cairns and Townsville, Far North Queensland.

In the evening, in Cairns, at the Waterfront Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF), where the Governor and Mrs de Jersey toured the Art Fair, before attending the CIAF Sponsors Welcome Reception, where the Governor addressed guests.

Following, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended theCIAF Official Opening Ceremony, where the Governor addressed guests and officially opened 2015 CIAF.
