On Thursday, in the morning, at 1 William Street, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council of Queensland.

Following, at Government House, the Governor received Mr Neil Laurie, Clerk of the Queensland Parliament, for the presentation of five bills for Assent.

In the afternoon, the Governor received a briefing from the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland, Commissioner Ian Stewart APM, Queensland Police Service and senior Bureau of Meteorology and State Disaster Coordination Centre representatives on the current weather situation and the post-Tropical Cyclone Debbie response.
