On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency, the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Australia, His Excellency Mr Xiao Qian, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Brisbane, Dr Ruan Zongze and Embassy of China, Director, Political Section, Mr Gu Zihua.

 

Following at Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Bardon, Professor Nimmo attended the Queensland Council of Garden Clubs President’s Morning Tea and the Professor addressed guests. 

 

In the afternoon, at Parliament House, Brisbane, Her Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. 

 

Following, at Parliament House, Brisbane, Her Excellency received Minister for Police and Corrective Services and Minister for Fire and Emergency Services, Member for Morayfield, the Honourable Mark Ryan MP, Mr Brett Beasley and Mrs Belinda Beasley.
