On Friday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, with Mrs Kaye de Jersey, hosted an Investiture Ceremony and presentation of awards for the Order of St John and addressed guests.

In the evening, at Parliament House, Brisbane, His Excellency attended the annual Queensland Police Remembrance Dinner and addressed guests.

Earlier in the afternoon, the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes ceased duty, and the Honourable Justice Margaret McMurdo AC assumed duty, as Acting Governor of Queensland.
