On Thursday, in the morning, at 1 William Street, Brisbane, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC presided at a meeting of the Executive Council of Queensland.

Following, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Governor, with Mrs Kaye de Jersey, presented the Scripture Union Queensland’s 2017 Queensland Father of the Year Award and addressed guests.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor received Mr Neil Laurie, Clerk of the Parliament, for the presentation of bills for Assent.
