On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Government House for official travel to the Scenic Rim.

In the morning, at the Crest Car Park, Tregony, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing on recent bushfires from the Mayor and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services representatives.

Following, at Aratula, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey visited Aratula State School and the Governor addressed students and guests, and presented an award.

Following, at the Aratula Sports Centre, Aratula, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing from Council representatives.

Following, at the Aratula Sports Centre, Aratula, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended a community morning tea for residents, business owners and emergency services personnel impacted by recent bushfires, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the afternoon, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey returned to Government House following official travel to the Scenic Rim.

In the evening, at the United Service Club, Brisbane, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended a dinner to celebrate significant birthdays for Brigadier Sam Harrison MBE RFD ED and Major General John Pearn AO RFD, and the Governor addressed guests.
