In the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC assumed duty as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia; and the Chief Justice of Queensland, the Honourable Tim Carmody, commenced duty as Acting Governor.

In the evening, at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Amberley, His Excellency the Administrator and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended a reception during Air Force Week to celebrate the 94th Birthday of the RAAF.

Following, His Excellency ceased duty as Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and resumed duty as Governor of Queensland, and the Honourable Tim Carmody ceased duty as Acting Governor.
