On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC departed Brisbane for an official visit to Mackay.

Following, at Mackay Regional Council Chambers, the Governor attended the Local Disaster Management Group meeting, and received a briefing from Council and all agencies involved in the post Tropical Cyclone Debbie response.

Following, the Governor, met members of the Council repair crew assisting with the response, and then, in the afternoon, returned to Brisbane.
