In the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, received the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, The Honourable Fiona Simpson MP, Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie and Parliament House Sergeant-at-Arms, Mr Michael Watkin.

Following, the Governor received Electoral Commissioner, Electoral Commission of Queensland, Mr Walter van der Merwe.

Later in the afternoon, the Governor received Queensland Police Service Commissioner Ian Stewart APM.
