In the afternoon, at the Queen Elizabeth II Courts of Law, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended a ceremony, at which the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, and Minister for Training and Skills, the Honourable Yvette D’Ath MP unveiled the official portrait of His Excellency, as the former 17th Chief Justice of Queensland, joining the portraits of all former Chief Justices of the State.  The portraitist is Mr Robert Hannaford AM, and the portrait is on public display in the gallery, level 3 of the courthouse.

In the evening, at 1889 Enoteca, His Excellency the Administrator and Mrs de Jersey attended a dinner in honour of the Honourable Justice John Dowsett AM to mark the 30th anniversary of his appointment to judicial office in Queensland.
