On Saturday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a ceremony to officially plant Her Excellency's Rose (Brindabella Sunshine) and to unveil the water fountain to commemorate Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee,  and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a morning tea for Government House Alumni.

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo welcomed members of the public to Open Day.  

In the evening, Event Cinemas Pacific Fair, Broadbeach,  Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Warner Bros Pictures Australian Premiere of Elvis.
