On Friday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey received Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands; His Excellency Mr Bert Koenders, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Her Excellency Mrs Erica Schouten, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Australia; Grand Master of the Royal Household, His Excellency Mr Jan Versteeg; Deputy Director of the King’s Office, Mr Frans Princen; and His Excellency the Honourable Dr Brett Mason, Australian Ambassador to the Netherlands.
In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey hosted a reception for the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade where His Excellency addressed guests and presented The Queen’s Badges and Queen’s Awards.
Earlier in the afternoon, at Brisbane Airport, the Governor was represented at the farewelling of Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands by Honorary Aide-de-Camp, Commander Peter Tedman DSM OAM RAN.
