On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD received the Consul-General of Japan in Queensland, Mr Katsutoshi Ishikawa, Mrs Mayumi Ishikawa and Deputy Consul-General of Japan in Queensland, Ms Ikuko Hanai. 

Following, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted a morning tea in support of International Volunteer Day 2024, and the Governor 

addressed guests.  

Following, at 1 William Street, Her Excellency presided at a meeting of Executive Council. 

In the evening, at Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Brisbane, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the Queensland Ballet opening night performance of Derek Deane OBE's 'The Lady of the Camellias' by Shanghai Ballet.
