In the afternoon, His Excellency ceased duty as the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and resumed duty as Governor of Queensland, and the Honourable Justice Hugh Fraser ceased duty as Acting Governor. 

Following, at Brisbane City Hall, the Governor attended the 2015 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum, where the Governor addressed guests and officially opened the Forum, and then, in King George Square, attended the welcome reception, hosted by The Right Honourable, The Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Councillor Graham Quirk.
