On Thursday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC departed Government House for official travel to Townsville.

In the afternoon, at The Ville, Townsville, His Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.

Following, at The Ville, Townsville, His Excellency received the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP accompanied by the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of three Bills for Assent.

Following, at the Townsville Convention and Exhibition Centre, Townsville, His Excellency received the Premier of Queensland and Minister for Trade, the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP.

Following, at the Townsville Convention and Exhibition Centre, Townsville, His Excellency toured the regional parliament operations and met with MP’s and staff.

In the evening, at The Ville, Townsville, His Excellency attended the State Reception Commemorating the Sitting of Queensland Parliament in North Queensland.

Following, His Excellency returned to Government House following official travel to Townsville.
