In the morning, in Winton, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey visited the Waltzing Matilda Centre, to attend the Waltzing Matilda Day Celebrations, hosted by the Winton Shire Council (WSC), where the Governor addressed guests and launched the celebrations.

Following, accompanied by Mayor, WSC, Councillor Graham ‘Butch’ Lenton, the Governor as Chief Scout, Scout Association of Australia, Queensland Branch, and Mrs de Jersey visited the Winton Youth Centre, where the Governor and Mrs de Jersey met with leaders and members of the Winton Scout Troop.
Then, with Mayor Lenton and CEO, WSC, Mr Tom Upton, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited and toured the Bladensberg National Park.
In the afternoon, at the Waltzing Matilda Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey were hosted by Mayor Lenton at lunch, joined by WSC Councillors and staff, and Mr John Paine and Mrs Katrina Paine of Winton.
Following, with Mayor Lenton and Mr Upton, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey visited the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum of Natural History, where the Governor and Mrs de Jersey toured the Fossil Preparation Facility, viewed the Mesa and visited the Collection Room viewing the holotype fossils of Diamantinasaurus and Australovenator.
In the evening, at the Tattersalls Hotel, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey were hosted by Mayor Lenton at dinner, joined by WSC Councillors and staff.
