In the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, received the Commander, Headquarters Combat Support Group, Royal Australian Air Force, Air Commodore Tim Innes. Following, the Governor received the Commander, Navy Headquarters – South Queensland, Commander Peter Tedman DSM, ADC, RAN.

In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted an afternoon tea for the 11 State finalists of the 2014 Queensland Country Life Miss Showgirl Awards.
