On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a morning tea in support of the 2020 Royal Queensland Show, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at 1 William Street, His Excellency presided at a special meeting of the Executive Council.

In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted a dinner in recognition of Outstanding Queensland Educators, and the Governor addressed guests. Guests included: the Honourable Grace Grace MP and Mr Michael Grace; Mr Henry Smerdon AM and Mrs Suzy Smerdon; Ms Annabel Dolphin and Ms Deborah Wilson; Mrs Karen Spiller OAM; Ms Tammie Irons; Ms Judy Menary and Mr Lex Menary; Mr Matthew Rowan and Mrs Allana Rowan, and Mrs Kate Hastings and Mr Bob Hastings APM.
