On Friday, in the morning, at Royal International Convention Centre, Bowen Hills, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC attended the Public Safety and Associated Agencies International Women's Day event, and the Governor officially opened the event, and addressed guests.

In the afternoon, at Kelvin Grove State College, Kelvin Grove, His Excellency attended the official opening of the new Queensland Ballet Academy, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted an afternoon reception in support of International Women's Day, and the Governor addressed guests.
