Government House Queensland
On Friday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Honourable Peter Wellington MP and Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie for the presentation of six Bills for Assent.
In the afternoon, at the Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie) Chapel in East Brisbane, the Governor attended the funeral service for The Honourable Tom Shepherdson QC.
In the evening, at Government House, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted a reception for the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade for the presentation of the Queen’s Badges and Queen’s Awards.
