On Monday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received Mr Melih Karalar, Consul-General of the Republic of Turkey in Sydney.

In the afternoon, the Governor departed Brisbane for an official visit to the Sunshine Coast.

Following, at the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC), Sippy Downs, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC attended a ceremony at which the Governor installed Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston AK, AFC (Ret'd) as USC’s fourth Chancellor and addressed guests.

Following, the Governor returned to Brisbane.
