On Thursday, in the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted members of the public visiting for guided tours of the House.

Following, at Government House, the Governor attended a ceremony where the Honourable Justice Philip McMurdo and the Honourable Justice Ann Lyons took the Oath of Allegiance and of Office enabling the Justices, in accordance with the Queensland Constitution, to assume the role of Acting Governor as required.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a Christmas reception where His Excellency addressed guests.
