On Wednesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to Toowoomba.
Following, at the University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the Full Honours Funeral for Senior Constable Brett Forte and laid a wreath.
In the afternoon, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey departed Toowoomba for an official visit to St George.
Following, at St George State High School, the Governor, with Mrs de Jersey, officially opened the School’s Health and Wellbeing Centre, addressed students and toured classrooms.
Following, at Balonne Shire Council Chambers, St George, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey received a briefing on local issues from Council representatives and met staff.
Following, at the Anglican Parish Centre, St George, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a community afternoon tea hosted by Balonne Shire Council where His Excellency addressed guests.
