On Tuesday, in the morning at C&K Arnwood Place Kindergarten, Annerley, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young PSM visited the centre and met with staff and students.

In the afternoon, at King's College, St Lucia, Her Excellency attended the Scribblers Presentation of a Paper for the Bedford Journal, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a dinner in honour of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the Governor addressed the guests. The guests included: The Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP and Dr Reza Adib, The Honourable Justice John Bond and Ms Rowena McNally, Mr Jarrod Bleiji MP, The Right Honourable Councillor Lord Mayor of Brisbane Adrian Schrinner Lady Mayoress Mrs Nina Schrinner, His Grace the Most Reverend Dr Phillip Aspinall AC and Dr Christa Aspinall, Dr Colin Dillon AM APM and Mrs Linda Dillon, Dr Tahnee Bridson and Ms Giuseppa Bridson, Mr Lloyd Clarke and Ms Sue Clarke, Ms Saba Abraham and Ms Semira Ali, Ms Jane Nimmo, Mrs Kate Hastings and Mr Bob Hastings APM.
