On Thursday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC CVO greeted students and staff of St Dympna's Catholic Primary School visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at 1 William Street, His Excellency presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. 

In the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency greeted members of the public visiting for a guided tour of the House and gardens.

Following, at Government House, His Excellency welcomed the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland, who presented her proposed appointments as Premier and Minister for the Olympics, Deputy Premier, Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning and Minister Assisting the Premier on Olympics Infrastructure; Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment and Minister for Tourism, Innovation and Sport and Minister Assisting the Premier on Olympics and Paralympics Sport and Engagement. His Excellency officiated at a formal ceremony for the swearing-in of the Ministers of the State and presided at a special meeting of the Executive Council.

Following, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey hosted an afternoon reception in support of the Greek Community of Queensland, and His Excellency addressed guests.
