On Wednesday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC greeted members of Friends of Ormiston House visiting Government House for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and Gardens.

Following, at the Battle for Australia Memorial, Brisbane, the Governor attended the Battle for Australia Commemoration Service and laid the first wreath.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a reception in support of the Queensland Theatre Company’s 2017 Season where His Excellency addressed guests.
