On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM received the Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie, for the presentation of two Bills for Royal Assent – Inspector of Detention Services Bill 2022 and the Transport Legislation (Road Safety and Other Matters) Amendment Bill 2022.

Following, at the Chermside Historical Precinct, Chermside, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD attended the Battle for Australia Commemoration Service and laid the first wreath, and the Governor addressed guests.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo hosted an afternoon tea in support of Indigenous Literacy Day, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at the Roundhouse Theatre, Kelvin Grove, Her Excellency and Professor Nimmo attended the opening night performance of TIDDAS, and the Governor addressed guests.
